Treehouse Wedding Venues – Come Sleep in the Trees
Perfect for your small intimate wedding in the mountains
Come Sleep in the Trees is a family owned pair of treehouses in Upstate South Carolina. These wedding venues are not far from Greenville, tucked away in a quiet corner of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains. We first learned about this unique setting from South Carolina Wild and when we reached out, were invited to come tour and see for ourselves!
We always recommend finding a local cabin or vacation rental for our couples planning an adventure elopement. When you’re planning an epic day outside, it’s so relaxing on the soul to start and end your wedding day at a “home base.” It’s so special to chill at the end of your day in a place that reminds you of why you eloped – to adventure together and make time just for each other.
What makes these true treehouse wedding venues for us is because the owners clearly “get” the intention of couples looking for the intimate wedding experience. We spoke extensively with Dee & Deborah about the family’s vision for the treehouses, and came away very impressed. Our past experience working at large venues always felt – impersonal. Having your wedding at Come Sleep in the Trees is quite the opposite! Dee & Deborah make every effort to help you have the day you’ve always wanted.
Deborah has a keen eye for adding in all the little details in a clever and cozy way to make every space a feast for the eyes. Dee has a background in graphic design, vintage rentals & wedding coordination, and it clearly shows in how the cabins and surrounding environment are styled. Mother nature is always the star but what’s not to love about candles, string lights & rose petals on your special day?

Why treehouses?
The family had talked about building a cabin on the property for years. With mountain views, beautiful sunsets & dark skies to see the Milky Way – they knew this special treasure could bless others as a getaway from city life.
But what form and shape for their vision? Napkin sketches would come and go. Brainstorming around coffee in the mornings, soon one idea after another. Then – they had the “magical treehouse” moment.
We all remember our love for treehouses as children. Maybe we built a fort with friends, or nailed a few boards up high to get a view of our surroundings. Why not create that childhood dream with a few “grown-up” sensibilities?
The new sketches took form, and soon they brought on board architect & engineer friends. Years in the making, what you see before you is the product of heart, vision and determination to create just the right escape into nature so many of us didn’t even know we crave.
Choose One or Both of these Treehouse Wedding Venues for your day!
When we visited, Dee and Deborah described to us their vision for weddings at the treehouses. Sometimes it’s a couple by themselves for a “just us” elopement – other times it’s for a small family wedding, booking both treehouses. In the latter case, the bridal party can use one to get ready and the groomsmen the other. They are only steps away from each other, with spots all around to have an intimate ceremony.
Come Sleep in the Trees is for those couples who are looking for a whole new experience. For those who see past the trend of materialism in weddings today, and would rather make their day about experiencing their relationship together.
If you are dreaming of an adventurous wedding together, the treehouses have so much to offer. Not only in the setting of the property itself & the cozy accommodations, but also the surrounding area. You’re far enough away from all the metro areas to experience the Milky Way at night in real darkness. Sumter National Forest is right at your doorstep, and adventurous hikes and waterfalls are nearby!

Mountain Top views – Bella Luna
Every decorative choice in the treehouses is a story within a story. Some are family heirloom pieces – such as the Singer sewing machine base. You’ll find a pair of Civil War era binoculars hidden away in the Bella Luna as well.
It’s the chandelier which captured our attention when we first walked into this treehouse. To hear Dee tell the story, you realize it was quite the discovery at one of many antique journeys. A diamond in the rough, once she discovered the provenance of this piece it had to take center stage inside the peaked roof of Bella Luna.
When the sunset is just right through the windows, you’ll find the rays playing with the crystals of the chandelier, casting mini rainbows around the room!

Catch the name on the tea envelope? How cool!
The story behind the sewing machine base:
Rocking chairs, warmth of the setting sun and mountain breezes before you.
This is just a small taste of all there is to explore inside (and out) of this beautiful treehouse. Check out the Bella Luna on their website to see more!
Story of the Star – Stella Vista
The story of Stella Vista formed around a beautiful Morovian Star the family discovered at an antique auction. Far enough away from light pollution, you can get a true dark sky stargazing experience at the treehouses. It was only fitting to choose a star as the centerpiece and theme for the Stella Vista!
Incorporating the star into the treehouse meant modifying the original plans for the roof. We think you’d agree with us that it was totally worth the effort!
We have been to our share of B&Bs and rental properties in the past, and it’s the personal touches that the owners leave for their guests that are so meaningful to us. Dee and Deborah think of everything!
Glassware, opener & even wine for your visit. Chocolates to enjoy…
…and fruit and delicious pastries as well!
Attention to detail is striking, even in the decorative pattern of the dinnerware.
This open field view from Stella Vista lights up whenever there is an afternoon sunset!
Everything is ready for your own campfire experience. Not only is there a rock lined fire pit with Adirondack chairs, but matches and firewood are provided for you as well.
Why choose Come Sleep in the Trees for your Treehouse Wedding Venue?
For us, what sets apart these treehouse wedding venues are the attention to detail and personal touches by the owners for each guest. They wanted to go beyond a “room over a garage” vacation rental and create a space – an environment – a complete experience – for people to enjoy.
We’d say they’ve gone FAR beyond the typical vacation rental with their work! These enchanting little treehouses are so inviting, the owners so caring for their guests – they truly deserve the title Luxury Romantic Treehouse Retreats.
You can book your stay by visiting the Come Sleep in the Trees website, and we hope you would think of us when it comes to photography & videography for your intimate wedding at these gorgeous venues!
